Very Protective Mama Elephant is the World’s Best Crossing Guard

The road in which it happened passes through a forest in India, a country that is home to about 27,000 Asian elephants. And, like their counterparts in Africa, Asian elephants are very intelligent, emotional, very social and determined to care for each other. That determination to take care of the other elephants is what was happening here. The traffic on the road had already been blocked by the police and once this mother elephant chased the cyclist down the road, he turned and revealed why he was behaving this way. He was guarding the intersection! A whole family of elephants suddenly emerged from the bush and quickly made its way across the road.
